I would graeatly value your feedback on immunization policy and practices accross the country, focused on the issue of communicable infections. We have made some stumbles in managing the process for students who are Hep B positive and have been formulating new procedures ,as we deal with a current case.
As part of our discussion, we have had some of our experts point out that by only testing for HepB, we miss the more common HepC, and HIV. Should these be screened for in the first term as we do for HepB?
Balancing the need to protect patients with the individual rights of students, what is our role or obligation?
Mandatory screening could have an impact on the insureability of students who test positive.
