On-Call Question

Anonymous's picture

Dear colleagues:

Our Access and Diversity office has told us that a student who will be starting Year 3 in the fall, will be unable to  work between the hours of 9 pm and 7 am because of a medical condition.  This is not a temporary restriction – rather, it is for the foreseeable future.  This effectively means that the student cannot do any night work and cannot do ‘call’.  Have any of you faced this kind of restriction?  If so, how have you handled it?  Is “Call’ mandatory in your program?

I will collate your responses and share them with the group.

Thank you and best regards.
